SWANSEA, Wales (AP) -Gareth Bale transferred his goalscoring form from the Premier League to the international stage on Wednesday, helping Wales to a 2-1 win over Austria in a friendly.

After scoring superb goals in Tottenham's last two games, the winger made it three in a week - and seven in his last nine internationals - by running onto Joe Allen's pass and steering home a fine finish for the opener in the 21st minute.

Bale then turned provider, crossing from the right for Sam Vokes to head home powerfully in the 52nd.

Marc Janko gave Poland hope of a comeback by scoring in the 75th but Wales held on at Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
